One of the Best Visits Yet
On Monday 29th April 2006 thirty-one German guests left Hurst Green after one of the most successful twinning trips to date. During their four night stay they enjoyed trips to Cambridge, Hastings and London, a social evening with music from two bands and a disco, a "wind-up" horse racing event, and a traditional fish and chip supper. Photographs from the visit will appear on this website shortly.

A welcome from the chairman
The Hurst Green and Ellerhoop Twinning Association was established in the early 1980s to foster stronger links between the people of Hurst Green in East Sussex, UK, and of Ellerhoop, in Schleswig Holstein, Germany. Since then, at least twenty-two twinning trips have taken place, with many people gaining long-lasting friendships. We believe that it is important to experience life in another country - to try their food and explore their local area - and we hope that many more people will travel with us to Germany in the coming years. If you would be interested in coming on the next trip to Ellerhoop, during May 2007 please get in touch.
TwinningTimes has now been online in this format for for three years, and in its current location for some sixteen months. On average, one hundred people visit it each month, and more photographs are uploaded after every event. This does not mean, however, that the site is perfect, so in during the coming year we will be looking to revamp it, with a new structure and more up-to-date content. If you have any comments about its current state, or how it might develop in the future please let us know through the "Contact" page.
