A Night At The Races

On the evening of Saturday 29th October 2005 the Hurst Green Twinning Association joined forces with the Hurst Green Short-Mat Bowls Club to host a very special fundraising event.

Wind-up horse-racing is one of the newest crazes sweeping the county, and allows clubs and societies to raise lots of money whilst staying clear of the usual brand of quiz evenings and barn dances. Since this type of racing requires neither huge racecourses, nor helicopter landing pads, it is perfectly suited to the average village hall.
